Collective Action on Climate Change
This year's theme for the hui is Collective Action on Climate Change.
Each of our networks and organisations make a positive contribution to reducing Greenhouse gases and providing pathways to climate change action. With the recent Climate change Commission report going to Government, now is the right time to get together and make a shared plan of action. How can we work closer and smarter to increase the impact we're having? What are some of the skills we need to do this? What are the things that our flaxroots organisations see as the piorities for collective action in this space?
Day one of the hui will include an optional site tour to some local Waikato projects to act as inspiration.
Day two is our chance to spend time as networks, focused on energy, zero waste and environment hub specific issues. Then we'll get a chance to get out on the water with a waka ama race.
Day three is when we'll come together as a whole to work on developing some collective action plans.
PRE HUI ZOOM SESSIONS
WARM UP SESSIONS
In the lead up to our time together we will run a programme of online sessions to help you make the most out of the event. These sessions will be a way to get up to date on some key conversations that we'll then explore further in person, and to meet some of the people that you'll be hanging out with at Lake Karapiro.
More information on these sessions including registration information will be posted here closer to the event.
